Claire Kremen’s work focuses on understanding how biodiversity provides people with critical ‘ecosystem services’, and utilizing this information to develop sustainable management plans. Her research focuses on restoring pollination and pest control services in farmed landscapes, and promoting diversified, sustainable farming practices. She was awarded a MacArthur Foundation Fellowship for her contributions to ecology, agriculture and biodiversity. She is a professor at UC Berkeley.
