Rajika Puri is an exponent of Bharatanatyam and Odissi who - since she played ‘narrator/goddess Kali’ in The Transposed Heads directed by Julie Taymor - has developed a form of danced storytelling in which she accompanies her dancing with songs, chants, vocalised rhythmic syllables, and a narrative in English. Her productions now combine choreographed dances with danced stories. Rajika also lectures and writes on dance and theatre from a cultural perspective.

Which issues of society would you like Rajika to depict in her storytelling dances? How do you think this dance form can help us? What would you want to listen from her at INK?
